"THE MISSION "

Level I - Guided Dives

Congrats on your new diving certification. Finding a dive buddy can be challenging, but don't worry, I have crafted the 613DIVE Level I experience to help you. I have been where you are and understand the challenge. Thru private dive guide experiences, I can work with you on all of the core dive skills, while we take the time to learn a few local shore dives here in our amazing dive playground we call the St Lawrence. Level I dives are designed to keep you within your comfort levels, but also start to fine tune your core skills like, Buoyancy, Fin control, Trim, basic navigation and much more.
From there we can work towards Level II shore dives and start to prepare you for advanced diving certifications.

CENTEEN PARK TOUR

Welcome to Centeen Underwater scuba park located in Brockville Ontario. One of my favourite places to train. I remember my first few dives here, I thought I would never know my way around the park. Over 20 underwater sculptures to visit, dive platforms to train / fine tune your skills on. This is a guided tour of the park, we can customize the dive to suit your needs.

Great opportunity to learn to navigate the park the right way. :) We can spend the time finding all of the scupltures or mix it up with a bit of dive skills refresh and park navigation. Dive time typically ranges from 30 - 60 mins, pending conditions, gas consumption etc.

WRECK - ROTHESAY

Take a guided tour out to the Rothesay. Early summer or in the fall is the best time to see the wreck. But its always a fun shore dive with a bit of navigation to get there. Great training dive for open waters divers.

WRECK - CONESTOGA

Another fun dive in the current, visiting the "Connie". I spent a ton of time in my early diving days practicing to dive in the current.

Descend down the slope and let the current push you along the line until you see the bow of the Conestoga appear.

Great wreck to explore. Use the river current to push you along the side or thru it. Once at the stern, hide from the current to work on buoyancy skills etc. Take a look at the massive propeller emerging from the sand. Always a ton of fish around !

Find the chain and pull yourself (take your time) back up to the bow for another pass !

LOCK 28 - PART I

Commonly known as the " Torpedo Run", this is one of the more fun and exciting drift dives around. We jump in at Lock 28 and allow the current to push us downstream as we navigate our way towards the gap :) I have spent a ton of time with this dive over the years. Certainly one that requires some guidance and practice to ensure a smooth dive.

Perfect dive to gain drift and buoyancy experience. Once thru the lock we have 2 options.

Open Water Divers - Drift thru the lock and explore around the left wall cement structures and start to get a feel of the layout of the lock.

Advanced Open Water divers - Drift thru the lock, shoot the gap, washing machine effect and then ride the river current until we hit the Conestoga. This one is all about trusting the compass and getting your timings right.

Fun dive, but hard one to navigate for newer divers.
